ESMD

The ESMD (Extremely Small MultiDark) simulation is part of the MultiDark simulation series performed at LRZ Munich. Contrary to the other MultiDark simulation ESMD is a constrained simulation based on CosmicFlows-2 observational data.

The three plots below show slices through the simulation centered at the position of the simulated Virgo cluster (26.2 Mpc/h, 44.3 Mpc/h, 30.7 Mpc/h in box coordinates).

This movie shows a flight through the simulation box along the Z-axis.
